American pika (Ochotona princeps) running back toward one of its haypiles (winter food caches) with a mouthful of plant material.  Beartooth Mountains, Wyoming/Montana.  Summer.  This photo was taken in alpine setting at around 11,000 feet (3350 meters) elevation.   At this elevation snow is not unusual even in late July when this image was taken.
