Sea Otter (Enhydra lutris) mom with young pup resting in kelp on a stormy, windy day. California coast. The pup is the darker brown body on the far side of this female sea otter. They were trying to rest in the kelp but because of the choppy water they soon moved on looking for calmer waters.
