Tom and Pat Leeson

Internationally-recognized wildlife photographers, Tom and Pat Leeson, are a husband and wife team whose photographs appear in hundreds of U.S. and foreign publications each year. They are best known for their in-depth, year around Tom
and Pat Leesoncoverage of individual wildlife species and have sold photo story packages on grizzlies, black bear, wolves, beaver, badger, mountain goats, and most other North American wildlife. In recent years, Tom and Pat have also focused on international endangered species including: pandas in China, penguins in Antarctica, elephants in Africa, tigers and rhinos in India.

During the Leesons' 25 years in the field, they have worked on assignment for numerous magazines including: NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION, AUDUBON, SIERRA. Their work has also appeared in LIFE, READER'S DIGEST, TIME, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, GEO (U.S., German, and Korean), TERRE SAUVAGE, and DAS TIER.

In 1991, President Bush presented a Limited Edition copy of the Leesons' highly awarded book, THE AMERICAN EAGLE, to the Queen of England as a Presidential Gift of State.

Current book projects by Tom and Pat include AMERICA'S WILDLIFE REFUGES: LANDS OF PROMISE, a book celebrating the wildlife success stories of the National Wildlife Refuge system, and WASHINGTON WILDLIFE: A Wildlife Portfolio.

The Leesons' photographs are represented by eight U.S. and foreign agencies. Their corporate clients include Kodak, Nikon, Nike, Inc., Hallmark, American Airlines, Boeing, Chevron, Chrysler and the U.S. Postal Service.

Their enjoyment of wildlife and the outdoors first inspired the Leesons to begin their career in wildlife photography. Through their images, they desire to encourage others to be good stewards of this incredible resource. Tom and Pat make their home in Vancouver, Washington, with their daughter, Laura.
